Trigg Art Club was asked if we
had any objection to the surf club using our donation towards a mural. The
committee voted in favour and the mural was commissioned by TISLSC from Perth artist Melski
McVee. Melski has other murals around the city which are very
attractive.
There were many people getting busy with their
numbered pots of paint. Match the paint with the number on the drawing and away
you go. Club members Ann Dunstan, Trish Wheatley, Sandra Menegola and Siobhan Wright were invited to join in, along with Liza Harvey. Melski the artist did the finishing artwork and was spotted high
on a platform working at the top of the wall one afternoon when the temperature
reached 42 degrees. Well done Melski a wonderful job, beautifully done
guaranteed to cheer any heart any day.
I think everyone will agree that the mural really is something special. From the art clubs perspective we now have something we can tell visitors to look for when they come along to our exhibitions. 'Find the mural and you have found the entry'.
